He has Arrived!

Baby Easton was born Monday, Nov. 3rd! He weighed 8lb
and 2oz and was 20 in. long. I had an induction scheduled
for 7:00 a.m. on Monday, but he decided he wanted to
come on his own--I went into labor at 3:30 Monday morning!

We are both doing great. However, Easton did have to be admitted to the NICU for a couple days but was released Thursday. Our blood types are incompatible and he was diagnosed with being Coombs Positive. Basically, my blood recognized his as being foreign and began attacking his red blood cells. His liver couldn't process my antibodies causing his belirubin count to sky rocket (which leads to brain damage and death). Thankfully, the treatments worked quickly and he is healthy little boy! We are very grateful for prayer and modern medicine that saved his life.

Enoch is in love with his new little brother! Watching him interact
with Easton has been so fun!

Oh, Sindy, he's such an angel! I can't wait to see him. I'm so glad you are both home and healthy. And, yay for not having to be induced!

Congrats Sindy and Justin! I am soooo thankful for modern medicine as well. I have never actually met anyone whose baby rejected the mothers blood type, although I studied it once upon a time. Easton is such a cutie and Enoch is a big brother now, how exciting. It is fun to see the oldest child have someone to care for (or tease as is the case in our house!) Good luck and happy holiday season coming!

Congratulations! He is so beautiful. I'm sorry he had such a rough start! I can imagine how hard that would be for you guys, especially with your hormones out of whack and stuff, Sin! What a blessing that he is healthy and home. Good luck with the transition phase!

Yeah! He's here! I'm so sorry to hear he was admitted to the NICU. Ug. I hate that feeling. Especially since I'm sure yours was an emergency rush down/up there. I'm so happy to hear everyone is well and that you are home. Did you have to bring a bilirubin blanket home with you? I hated that thing. It worked though! :) He is an absolutely gorgeous baby! I also love his name. Good thing we don't live close. :) hehe
Love ya!

Oh congratulations! He is beautiful (in a very manly- small boyish- way :)) I am so glad to hear you are both safe and well. And, wow, Enoch looks so grown up. I hope someday we'll be able to get out there and see ya'll. We miss you lots but are so excited for you! Enjoy, they get older too fast.

Congrats, Sindy! He is adorable. There are so many things that can go wrong when new little ones are born...I have had several friends have scares w/ their new babies in the last few months. Glad everything worked out for you and your family. Again, what a cutie!
